Our Board & Train Process

Our 3-week Board & Train is a structured program designed to establish strong foundations in obedience, manners, and everyday behavior. We focus on clarity, consistency, and calm — not quick fixes.

This program is ideal for families who want practical results and a clear path forward.

Dogs in our program receive humane, structured, positive-based training designed to support lasting success beyond the training period.

The 3-Week Structure

While every dog progresses at their own pace, our program follows a clear three-phase structure:

Phase 1: Foundation & Focus
Building engagement, clarity, and calm routines while teaching your dog how to learn within a clear, consistent training framework.

Phase 2: Core Obedience & Manners
Developing reliable responses to core cues such as sit, down, place, and leash manners, with an emphasis on impulse control and calm behavior.

Phase 3: Proofing & Real Life
Strengthening reliability, generalizing behaviors, and preparing your dog to transition successfully back into daily life at home.

Training Outcomes

By the end of the program, most dogs will demonstrate:

  • Sit and down on cue
  • Place / settle behavior
  • Improved leash manners
  • Better impulse control
  • Increased focus and responsiveness

Progress varies by dog, and consistency at home plays a significant role in long-term results.

The Go-Home Transition
& Long-Term Success

Pickup is a guided handoff designed to support continued progress at home. This includes:

  • Demonstrations of key behaviors
  • Video review of training progress
  • Coaching on handling, cues, and common mistakes
  • An honest evaluation of what was achieved and what still needs work

As your dog transitions home, some adjustment is normal. It’s common to see minor regression as routines change — this does not mean training failed. Dogs respond best to consistency, and owner handling plays a critical role in long-term success. Ongoing support, refreshers, or follow-up sessions may be recommended.
